The long awaited Luxury Wedding Show finally took place at the Saatchi Gallery last weekend. I had tickets for the Saturday 14.15pm Catwalk Show and arrived there at 13.30pm. ‘The Saatchi Gallery is hired for a private event.’ First of all I was pleasantly surprised that, despite the location (Sloane Square), the people there weren’t at all snobby or arrogant. In fact they were very nice to my friend (who’s going to marry next year) and me. We had time to look at the stands of various exhibitors (for example The Dorchester, G C Couture and Little Bevan) before the Catwalk Show and immediately were given very good advice at the Dorchester stand, along with an offer to marry at Coworth Park (near Windsor Great Park, Polo field et all) which we’ll definitely consider.
After we fetched our champagne at the champagne bar on the 2nd floor, we went to our seats (3rd row, unfortunately, as we were a bit late). The Catwalk Show was by far the best thing at the whole Wedding Show. It was pretty fantastic. Bespoke wedding designers like David Fielden, Vivienne Westwood, Vera Wang, Candy Anthony, Kula Tsurdiu and several others presented their new bridal collections on the runway while I was busy taking photos. I’m really a fan of multi-layered dresses/skirts and I definitely got my money’s worth at the Show. Especially the Candy Anthony, Browns Bride and Vivienne Westwood dress designs were amazing. Lots of tulle, white, red, blue, feathers, patterned fabrics, unique dresses…etc. The goodie bag everyone received included products from L’Oréal, Dermalogica, O.P.I, Elemis, Pearl Drops and DHC. Thanks to everyone for this weekend of true luxury!
