Berlin Fashion Week – Toast&Jam Vintage Fashion Fair and Show

The Toast & Jam vintage fashion fair and show was one of the events I was looking forward to most. Now guess why! Right, because it’s VINTAGE fashion! I do have a thing for all things, vintage, old, very old..and Stone Age. Haha. No, but I love old stuff because I have the feeling there’s a great story behind every old dress, shoe etc. And of course they look nice! There were so many amazingly styled and dressed people at the vintage fair, I even felt underdressed.

With exhibitors such as Etsy, Veist Kleidergeschichten, Mayflower Vintage, Class of Berlin and Memory Vintage, everyone could find something to buy.

The show was the best at the whole Fashion Week in my opinion.

I love the shoes in the picture above!

Again: Great shoes!

It’s tea time!

If you are cold, tea will warm you.  If you are too heated, it will cool you.  If you are depressed, it will cheer you.  If you are excited, it will calm you.  ~Gladstone, 1865

Sarah travels – Dresden, Germany

This a very picture heavy post, because I’m a bit lazy about writing at the moment. Anyway, Dresden is the city where I was born. What I love about it are all the old historic and mystical looking buildings, the art galleries and the theatres. I’m sure you get what I mean when you look at my photos.

I loved this shop window! I love Lancôme, I love Emma Watson, I love the cute lips; what’s not to love about it?

Have you ever been to Dresden or another German city? xx

Vintage camera

If I’d known what was hidden on my attic, I’d have spent some time up there ages ago! From old jewellery to this amazing camera, everything was up there! I own a little digital camera which is okay, but it doesn’t really take very good photos. A Polaroid or Canon is my dream, but I think they’re a bit too expensive..for cameras; it would probably take me a few centuries (yes, centuries!) to figure out how I’m supposed to use it and if I want to buy lenses for effects, I’ll go broke. I was so glad when I found this camera last week! It’s a pretty old Praktica camera which needs film, but makes amazing photos!

The pictures above were taken with my digital camera, not the Praktica, because I haven’t had the film developed yet. But the camera is shown in the pictures as I was strolling through the town and had it around my neck. It was a heavy necklace, I can tell you!

Vintagey moments…

…on a cold winter day.

What books do you like to read on a cold winter day, when you’re in your cuddly and cosy and warm bed? As a child I liked to escape into the world of Harry Potter, St Clare’s and Ink Heart, which helped me understand the importance of the word and books and send me to a world I’d be a part of for hours. Now that I’m older and more mature (at least that’s what I like to believe), I love reading Sophie Kinsella and Lindsey Kelk, and am writing my first book. The books I’m interested in may have changed, but I still need to escape into a different world from time to time by reading.

A large cup of tea may also help to keep you warm. A proper cup of tea always helps.
